Rain hampers school cricket
Rain hampered proceedings of the Under-19 Inter-School Limited Over Tournament matches as most of them were either called off or abandoned due to heavy rain. However three matches were completed as the winning teams succeeded to beat the rain as well as their opponents.
St. Anne’s College, Kurunegala coasted to a comfortable 9-wicket win over St. Sebastian’s College, at Katuneriya while Maris Stella College, Thimbirigaskatuwa pulled off a convincing 10-wicket win against Piliyandala Central while Asoka MV, Colombo defeated St. Thomas’ College, Matale at Diyagama.
