A youth delegation visited parliament this week to learn about the legislative process.

They learnt about the legislature and the electoral process’ role in fostering democracy as part of an Election Commission plan.

During the visit, they observed parliamentary sessions and explored how democracy is strengthened through the interconnection between the legislative process and the electoral process.

This programme was organised under the guidance of the Secretary General of Parliament Kushani Rohanadeera, and the Commissioner General of Elections Saman Sri Rathnayake.

It marks a step in the awareness
