Indian IT giants eye SL’s Unique Digital ID
Most Indian tech giants established globally were at the recent pre-qualification meeting for the master systems integrators vying for Sri Lanka’s Unique Digital ID project, top officials said.
They said at this pre-qualification meeting held virtually last month, conducted by the National Institute for Smart Government on behalf of Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Digital Economy, at least 40 companies participated.
BLS International Services Ltd, New Delhi; Nagarro, global digital engineering company; Mantra, a manufacturer of Biometric products for Aadhaar project in India; Tata Consultancy Services, an international IT company; Wipro India Business, a part of Wipro Ltd a global end to end IT transformation, consulting and business process services provider; Protean eGov Technologies Ltd, an Indian technology company headquartered in Mumbai; NCINGA, global technology solutions provider that focuses on digital transformation across industries like telecommunications, banking, and manufacturing, offering services such as cybersecurity, multi-cloud, AI, networking, blockchain, and automation; Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Ltd which is into the fields of Strategic Projects such as Information Communication Technology, Electronic Surveillance; Electronic Media which deals in content including films, Sentinel Analytics, Counter Drones/UAV etc; Thales, a global technology company investing in digital and “deep tech” innovations; IDEMIA Group involved in biometrics and cryptography; Bharat Electronics Ltd, an Indian public sector aerospace and defence electronics company; United Technologies Corporation, a major aerospace and building systems company; Innovatrics which develops high-performance biometric solutions used by governments, businesses and law enforcement agencies; Infosys Ltd; NEC Corporation from Japan; state-owned Telecommunications Consultants India Ltd and RailTel Corporation of India Ltd.
Officials noted that at this pre-bid meeting, these companies clarified the components proposed for the Sri Lanka Unique Digital ID project and certain questions with regard to the proposals.
