Maldives delegation visits Sri Lanka Parliament
View(s):A delegation of 8 officials from the President’s Office of the Republic of Maldives visited the Parliament of Sri Lanka recently as part of a study tour aimed at enhancing institutional knowledge and operational practices.
The key focus areas of the study tour included archives and records maintenance, and preservation of documents. The objective of the visit was to observe and learn from the best practices followed by the Sri Lankan Parliament.
The delegation held a productive discussion with Chief Librarian of Parliament Siyath Ahemed, who briefed them on the methods and systems in place for managing and preserving parliamentary records and inventory.
The visiting officials were also given a guided tour of the Parliament and Record Room.
