The Study in the UK – Fair will give you the opportunity to meet delegates from leading UK universities on Saturday 16 September at the Galadari Hotel (Anthurium) 12 noon to 5pm

The Fair will provide genuine students and their parents the opportunity to engage with university delegates from research intensive UK institutions. It is important to remember that the UK undergraduate honours programmes are generally shorter in duration which makes it more cost effective to study in the UK. You can enjoy a life-changing student experience safe in the knowledge that you are getting good value for money.

Things to consider or do before you participate in the Fair. Better prepared prospective students will impress the University delegates.

Step 1: Think about the degree you wish to study.

If you have already decide to pursue a Bachelor’s degree at a leading university, it’s time now to decide on the subject(s) you wish to focus on.

If you have a particular career in mind, such as medicine, law or journalism, finding a suitable course for your chosen subject should be fairly straightforward.

However, if you’re torn between different possibilities, asking yourself the following questions might be a good starting point:

  • Which subjects do I enjoy studying?
  • Are there any subjects at which I am particularly good?
  • What do I see myself doing after university? Would my choice in degree affect this?
  • What are the most employable degrees?

Step 2: Speak to your teacher and/or parents for advice.

Step 3: Visit the websites and get to know the institutions better:

Your time will be better spent at the Fair focusing on institutions that have the courses you are interested in; Visit the following websites of the participating institutions:

Step 4: Carry relevant certificates

As the Fair is usually busy, please keep soft copies of your certificates close to you. It will enable you to provide accurate information and hold a meaningful discussion with the university delegate.
