Students retaking AL must provide personal details: Exams chief
View(s):Every private candidate should provide their own permanent address and telephone number and not the address or number of the private or international school where they were receiving education, Commissioner General of Examinations Amith Jayasundara said.
He said this about re-applying for GCE Advanced Level Examination this year which will take place from September 11 till September 16. Re-applying for the examination is permitted only for candidates who appeared for at least one subject of the GCE A/L in 2022 (held in 2023), and should be submitted only via the Examinations Department’s website. The Examinations Department said the online facility will be closed after 12 midnight of the final date. Candidates are allowed to apply for a maximum of three main subjects. In addition, applicants can apply for common general test and general English.
“A candidate can submit only one application. Submission of more than one application by altering information will cause the rejection of all applications, and legal action will be taken against such candidates. Any revelation of such fraud even after issuing results will cause invalidation of the results,” the Examinations chief said.
The Advanced Level Examination this year will be held from November 27 to December 21. -NF
