Xeylonex 23’ Multimedia exhibition
View(s):Xeylonex 23’ is a multimedia exhibition organised by the students of the National Institute of Business Management as a part of their course module. This event is a celebration of Sri Lankan talents and its creatives, aiming to promote Sri Lanka and its multimedia industry to the world to aid the country – with the ongoing crisis it is facing – by driving investment and tourism. This event will include a multimedia competition, exhibition, and conference.
The Xeylonex 23’ multimedia competition will have four multimedia categories (photography, videography, digital art, and hand drawn art) under two agegroups. This competition is expected to give opportunities to upcoming artists to showcase their skills and talents to potential employers and to also inspire the next generation of artists by giving them the push needed to get started in their multimedia journey.
The main exhibition will include exhibit halls full of works of art by the students of NIBM as well as of the participants of the Xeylonex 23’ Multimedia Competition and will include a range of mesmerising exhibits such as shadow art and holograms and fun activities like the 360° video booth.
The Xeylonex 23’ Conference is expected to provide all attendants a platform to learn – the skill and techniques needed for success as well as the intricacies of the industry – from the best industry professionals.
This event is important as it is an opportunity for the NIBM students to share their skills in managing a massive project of this scale. Furthermore, as Sri Lanka does not have much influence on the global multimedia industry, this event is a movement to push Sri Lanka and its talent to help us put Sri Lanka on the map in the multimedia industry.
