APIIT Law School sets yet another record for the country!
View(s):From the 22nd to the 25th of February of this year, students of APIIT Law School took part in the Mediation and Negotiation Competition known as Lex Infinitum 2023 hosted by the V. M Salgaocar College of Law, India. Lex Infinitum was established in 2015 and is a reputed and prestigious ADR competition.
Samaa Shazuli, a second-year undergraduate of APIIT Law School emerged as the Runner Up Mediator competing against 10 other universities.

Diluki Silva and Chathurya Dissanayake took part in the competition as a Negotiator Team battling against several other teams from all over the globe which were competitively selected to participate at Lex Infinitum 2023. The students were coached by Mrs. Kathleen Ruane Leedy, a highly trained, experienced bi-coastal Mediator, Trainer, Consultant, Author, and Advocate from the US. She played a vital role in supporting the team to become the only Sri Lankan team to leave its mark at the 8th Edition of Lex Infinitum 2023.
2023 marked the second consecutive year in which APIIT Law School left its mark, with the first award being the Negotiator Championship title secured by Umar Safras and Tharuka Jayasinghe last year. Lex Infinitum 2023 is the third international event that APIIT Law School has taken part in for the year, following the 2nd NALSAR Mediation Tournament 2023 and 18th ICC International Commercial Mediation Competition 2023.
The students representing APIIT are all part of the Moot, Debate and Mock Mediation Society of APIIT, which aims to build and promote the practical skills of students who are interested in Debating, Mooting, Mediation, and Negotiation. The training programmes and practices conducted by the society allow any student to improve their knowledge and skills in several areas of Dispute Resolution.
