American International Dhaka claims SAISA athletics championship

The American International School in Dhaka, which scooped up 612 points, romped to a commanding overall victory at the South Asian Inter-Schools Track and Field Championships, which were organized by The Overseas School of Colombo (OSC), from March 8 to 10.
In second place were The American School Bombay (551.75), followed by the Karachi American School (387.50). Meanwhile, tournament hosts OSC did well to hold their own against some of the region’s top junior talent, finishing fifth overall.

Over 150 visiting athletes, led by 20 coaches, competed in three days of competition, throughout six different age groups with the youngest athlete being ten- years-old and the oldest being 18.

The schools which participated at the meet were the Overseas School of Colombo, the American International School Chennai, the American International School, Dhaka, the American School of Bombay, the Karachi American School, the Lincoln School in Kathmandu and the American International School of Muscat.
