Daniel stars as Joes record third win

A fine all-round performance by Jehan Daniel helped St Joseph's to an easy first innings victory over Dharmapala Vidyalaya in a Sri Lanka Schools Under-13 tournament game played at Darley Road. The victory was the third win for the Josephians and enabled the team to qualify to the second round.

Batting first the visitors were restricted to 161 all out .Medium Pacer Ian Daniel ripped through the Dharmapala batting line up to claim 6 for 41 and then followed it up with a blistering 119 in just 83 balls to guide the Darley Road team to their third straight win. Daniel thumped seven sixes and nine fours in his knock and was well supported by fellow opener Nipun Sumanasinghe who scored is third successive half century.
