Drarmaraja down Wesley

Dharmaraja shattered Wesley with an imposing display to record a narrow win by 25-23 in their Under-20 schools league rugby match at Longdon Place yesterday. Dharmaraja who took command of the game at 17-8 at half time frustrated Wesley by holding on to the lead throughout the game. They scored from four tries, a conversion and a penalty while Wesley responded with three tries, a conversion, a penalty and a drop goal.

Thilina Hettiarachchi, Kavinda Hettiarachchi, LAC Ekanayake and Lochana Hettiarachchi posted tries for Dharmaraja. Thilina Hettiarachchi made the conversions. For Wesley flanker Vishwa Steinwal, fly half Kokila Sambandapperuma and Lakshan Perera scored tries. The penalty was put over by Ishara Madushan while Rishan Premageeth put over a conversion and drop goal.
