CR in close 27-21 win over Air Force

Place kicker Reza Mubarak added 17 points from his boot to make sure CR & FC walk out winners by 27-21 in their Caltex Division I league rugby match against Air Force at Katunayake yesterday.
CR & FC who held on to a close 14-10 lead at half time posted two tries while Mubarak took care of a conversion and five penalties in their favour. Air Force who anticipated a win scored from three tries and two penalties. Centre Ashan de Costa and winger Vishwamithra Jayasinghe scored tries for CR as Mubarak, the architect of their win had Air Force in tatters. The tries for Air Force were scored by fullback Mithun Hapugodage, centre Radika Hettiarachchi and prop forward KD Jayalath. Hettiarachchi put over the penalties.
