While we were deep in discussion suddenly I happened to ask him if leg spinner Malinga Bandara was really in India on a sight- seeing tour armed with a tourist visa. The answer was a hail of laughter and at the end he blurted out “I can’t agree with you more”.
 
Asian Qualifier moved away from Sri Lanka

The International Rugby Board slammed the door on Sri Lanka hosting the Asian Qualifier for the Rugby World Cup 2007. Their decision also resulted in the Rugby Asiad being postponed.

Sri Lanka's unceremonious exit from the ICC Champions Trophy tournament here in India has raised many an eye-brow with questions on why the team management and establishment was averse to making changes.

On October 14, Sri Lankans were cock-a-hoop, after they destroyed the West Indians in the last of the qualifying games of the ICC Champions Trophy. Reigning Champs, a team currently in good form, Brian Lara’s men could not reach three figures as a unit and the Sri Lankans were being touted as a team who could carry away the trophy.
