The United States – Sri Lanka Fulbright Commission (US-SLFC)is a bi-national commission which was established in 1952. The Commission devotes its activities to the promotion of mutual understanding between the United States and partner countries through academic exchange. The US-SLFC offers scholarships for master’s students and mid -career professionals. The Fulbright Commission also functions as the host institution for EducationUSA, which is a Department of State supported advising center. Our mission is to provide accurate, comprehensive, and current information about how to apply to accredited U.S. colleges and universities.

EducationUSA conducts free information sessions and workshops at the US-SLFC on the U.S. university admissions process and scholarship opportunities for prospective students and their parents. Our advisers also conduct outreach programmes in major cities around Sri Lanka to educate local students about higher education and financial aid opportunities in the United States. EducationUSA is your one-stop shop to learn about applying to U.S universities. Our advisers provide step by step instructions on how to navigate the admissions process.

The US-SLFC will be organizing our annual EducationUSA Fall 2019 University Fair in Colombo, Kandy and Matara from the 18th to the 21st of September 2019. Thisfair aims to promote U.S. Education among international students. Potential students and their parents will receive an opportunity to meet representatives from the participating universities and obtain information about admission requirements and scholarship opportunities.
