St. Peter’s emerged Under-16 Milo All-Island Schools 12-a-side rugby champions when they defeated Royal 12-0 in a thrilling final played at the Bogambara Stadium.  The closely contested game saw the Peterite juniors doing the only scoring of the match in the first session of play. Earlier in the semi-finals St. Peter’s overcame Trinity while Royal got the better of Science.  In the Plate championship final saw Kingswood defeating traditional rivals Wesley to clinch the title while St. Joseph’s beat DSS to win the Bowl title and in the Shield segment the battle between traditional rivals Ananda and Nalanda ended in an easy win for Ananda.  The Under-16 Milo All-Island 12 a Side rugby tournament conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football Association and sponsored by Nestle Lanka Ltd saw the participation of 31 teams.  - MSA
