David Bowie the music legend died aged 69 on 10th January of cancer in New York. The British artist was always ahead of his time whenever his music came out as they all had a different sound.

He was the first known pop star to publicly identify his own sexual orientation back in 1972 when it was almost taboo.

Tributes poured in all quarters from musicians to politicians, the Vatican and the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby of the Anglican Church. He released 27 albums, 111 singles and 3 soundtracks.

They are officially back. A few weeks after updating their website, which prompted speculation about a reunion, Axl Rose confirmed the news with the hard rockers being named one of the headline acts for the Coachella Music Festival due to take place on 16th April.

As Justin Bieber success in the UK is phenomenal, his personal image took a hit when it was reported he was expelled from an ancient Mexican heritage site for removing his trousers and exposing himself.

Bieber was reported to have been with his family at the time. However later the Canadian pop star was informed he could visit the ancient Mayan site again provided he behaves himself.

Meanwhile Justin Bieber has consolidating himself on the UK music charts. His song ‘Love Yourself’ has completed a fifth week at the head of the UK singles.

Each week Justin is marking some fete or another on the UK music chart. This week he becomes the first artist ever to have the No:1, 2 and 3 positions on the singles chart.

Apart from ‘Love Yourself’ being the chart topper, at No: 2 is ‘Sorry’ and at No: 3 is ‘What Do You Mean?’. The No: 2 and 3 songs were previous UK chart toppers.

A group of mysterious UK DJ’s who call themselves the 99 Souls have a mash up called ‘Girl Is Mine’ which has grown in popularity.

The official title is ‘Girl Is Mine (Destiny’s Child & Brandy)’ as it has Destiny’s Child’s song ‘Girl’ and Brandy & Monica’s ‘The Boy Is Mine’ as the mash up.

The song has taken nine weeks to snake its way up to the No: 10 spot on the UK singles chart since its debut at No: 44. ‘Girls Is Mine’ is house mash up which was originally uploaded on 99 Soul’s Sound Cloud account in December 2014.

At the time it faced a copyright issue and removed. With the necessary approvals in place with Brandy recording new vocals, the song then got an official release in November last year.

The song ‘Girl’ peaked at 6 on the UK chart in 2005 while Brandy & Monica’s duet ‘The Boy Is Mine’ was a hit earlier in 1998 peaking at 2 on the UK chart.

Robert Stigwood who behind the success of the Bee Gees and Cream has died aged 81 on January 4 in London.

Through his Robert Stigwood Organization the Australian born Stigwood also promoted artist such as Mick Jagger, Rod Stewart, David Bowie and Eric Clapton.

He also produced the musicals Hair and Jesus Christ Superstar (as co- producer) and the 13 films among them Saturday Night Fever, Grease and Evita in which Madonna played the lead role.
