Rita Ora has filed action against Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label. The singer filed papers with the Los Angeles Superior Court on 17th December as she wants to get out of the contract with label.

This the first know legal action to quit Roc Nation while other artists have been getting out of their deals with the global record labels and signing up with Jay Z.

Ora claims that several executive have being moving inside the label with no relationship to further her career being made. She compared it to be “orphaned”.

French DJ and producer David Guetta is calling for 1 million fans help record the official song for the UEFA, Euro 2016 tournament. Guetta is the UEFA, EURO 2016 ambassador.

Rap singer Azealia Banks was arrested on 16th December in New York. She was accused of biting the breast of a female security guard outside the Up & Down club. The incident is said to have occurred at the around 12.30 am.

Country music legend Merle Haggard who is recovering from pneumonia at a California hospital has said he thought he was dying according reports from the US.

The 78 legend had to cancel several shows and is expected to be back on the road touring by January. The ‘Okie From Muskogee’ hitmaker has scored 38 No:1 country songs.

The year 2015 has been an amazing for Justin Bieber. Many critics has dismissed him at the beginning of the year as another spoilt failure brat thriving on media attention have had to rethink their attitude towards the 23 year old proved them wrong as he continues to succeed with his songs taken from the album ‘Purpose’.

His love ballad ‘Love Yourself’ has a third straight week at the No: position on the UK singles chart. This week it pulled a combined 102,000 in sales.

His previous chart topper ‘Sorry’ also continues to be at the No: 2 spot for three consecutive weeks. With ‘Love Yourself’ and ‘Sorry’ remaining the No:2 in the last two weeks Bieber has joined company with the Beatles who last had the same opportunity back turn of 1967/68 with ‘Hello Goodbye’ and the ‘Magical Mystery Tour’ EP.

Grime and rap artist Stormzy made his debut on the UK top 10 singles as his rap track ‘Shut Up’ took a huge climb from 99 to No: 8. The song first came out in September, then entering the chart at No: 59 and declining within 13 weeks to No:99.

But last week Stormy (real name Michael Omari) launched a campaign to make ‘Shut Up’ the Christmas No: 1 boosting back up the chart to No: 8.

X-Factor winner Louisa Johnson’s debut release ‘Forever Young’ charged into the UK singles at No:9. The song came out mid week, after the 17 year old was declared winner on 13th December.

She sang a new interpretation of Bob Dylan’s 1974 song at the final and which is also her debut single. ‘Forever Young’ was expected to top the chart in the first weeks of its release.

But its entry point on the chart at No: 9 turned out to be a disappointment. Johnson covers the song well, but it appears the public has moved on from the hype of the X-Factor winner taking the No: 1 spot these days.
