Celebrating all that is feminine, the House of LUX launched their fragrance-infused new soap range at a glittering fragrance extravaganza at the Cinnamon Grand recently.

Film stars, models, singers, fashion icons, beauty queens, corporate heads and many other familiar faces posed for the ‘clicks’ against dainty rose wall backdrops as they walked past the French rose bedecked foyers for the spectacular launch and fashion show.

While one segment of the evening focused on the launch of the two new soap brands – the LUX Soft Touch and LUX Silk Sensation that have been infused with fine fragrances created by the well-known House of Firmenich’s Master Perfumers Martin Koh and Stefanus Agung Nugroho, running parallel to the launch was a French Rose inspired fashion show.

As the music played on -soft classical numbers- in between songs by Natasha Rathnayake and Umaria Sinhawansa the models took the ramp in French-Rose inspired designs.

The remarkable collection with graceful hairstyles, costumes and shoes all adorned with roses or rose designs were created by designers Indeewari and Sammani.

Unilever Sri Lanka’s Personal Care Marketing Director Sharmila Bandara says the trend with regard to fine fragrances is changing where fragrance is not limited to a bottle anymore.

“That is why Lux is different. Rather than using it sparingly and strategically, LUX’s fine fragrances give you the chance to immerse yourself in the perfect scent,” she said.
