Govt. invites UNHRC Chief to SL

The Government has extended an invitation to the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein, to visit Colombo.
It was extended by Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera and channelled through the office of Sri Lanka’s Permanent Representative at the UN in Geneva.

The invitation comes ahead of the 28th sessions of the UN Human Rights Council commencing Mar.2 in Geneva.
