Sri Lankan born rugby referee Clement Isack residing in the United Arab Emirate of Dubai officiates the game between the CR and CH at Longden Place today.

Clement a member of the United Arab Emirates Rugby Referees Society (UAERRS) will be making his first appearance refereeing a local ‘A’ Division game in Sri Lanka.

Many have questioned as to why Isack had not been invited before to officiate games in Sri Lanka as an invitee and kudos should go to Chula Dharmadasa for taking the stance in inviting Isack and recognizing his efforts and achievements in his fledging short career as a referee of international repute.

Isack made his debut as a referee with the Arabian Gulf Rugby Referees Association in 2008 and went onto receive to awards firstly in 2012 as the ‘Most Improved Referee’ and later on was honoured by the United Arab Emirates Rugby Referees Society with the ‘Chairpersons Award’.
Clement was nominated to attend the IRB level III match officials’ course conducted by the IRB/ARFU in 2011/12 and was awarded the level III accreditation in March 2013.

Isack is a banker by profession and currently employed with First Gulf Bank as Head of Global Markets Sales for Dubai and Northern Emirates.
