Trinity College Kandy will have their Fly Half their 4th year coloursman and National Youth player Tharindra Ratwatte taking charge of their rugby team in 2014. He will have Basu Karunatilake as his deputy.

Tharindra donned his 1st XV jersey in 2011 under Murad Ramzeen at the second leg of the Bradby Shield in Colombo. His father Ashan Ratwatte captained Trinity in 1983 which was also the centenary year where Trinity won the Bradby Shield. This the second occasion in Trinity’s rugby history where father and son had led the College under 20 outfit. – SJ
