Annika retired in 2008 with 89 worldwide victories, 75 LPGA titles and 10 majors. She is also in the Hall of Fame. She now spends time with her family, her foundation and clinic while promoting the game among young women golfers all over the world.

On learning that the foursome was from Sri Lanka Ms. Sorenstam expressed her interest in inviting female golfers from Sri Lanka, between the ages of 12 and 18, to her annual tournament in Mission Hills, Shenzhen China. The details of which will be conveyed to the Golf authorities in Sri Lanka when further information is received.
