A different theatre experience
View(s):A different theatre performance on novel and untraditional issued ‘The Maha Kalu Cult and The Heavenly Nirvana Syndrome’, ‘Spare Me The Truth’ and ‘Jihad: Silence! Infidel! Silence!’ written and directed in Sinhala by Ruwan Laknath Jayakody and Ramzi Zainudeen will be performed in Kandy and Colombo.
The performance in Kandy will start at 1 pm on October 4 at the Department of Education, Faculty of Arts, University of Peradeniya and at 4.30 pm at the Jana Medura Auditorium Hall at Kotugodella Veediya, Kandy.
The Colombo performance will be held on October 11 at 5.30pm onwards at the International Centre for Ethnic Studies, 2, Kynsey Terrace, Colombo 8. The performance will be free of charge on a first-come-first-serve basis those interested can reserve an invitation and seat in advance by pre-registering before Thursday October 3 (for the 2 Kandy Performances) and Thursday, October 10 (for the Colombo Performance)
Presented by ‘Theater of Shocking Consciousness’ and Beyond Borders the performances have been described as ‘inaugural and intimate Taboo Breaking and Controversial Transgressive Confession’.
