The 98th Sri Lanka Junior Nationals concluded this week at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association with a gifted lineup of young players emerging victorious after several riveting encounters. In the Under 18 age group, Sharmal Dissanayake and Thisuri Molligoda marched off with the boys’ and girls’ titles respectively, while Anish Wijesinghe and Nethmi Waduge were the two respective boys’ and girls’ Under 16 champions. Winners from other age categories:

Anjalika Kurera (Under 10), Sethara Ambawatte (Under 12 girls’), Aadavan Pushparaj (Under 14 boys’), Pranel Jasinghe (Under 12 boys’), Neelaka Dissanayake (Under 10 boys’), Medhira Samarasinghe (Under 14 girls’), Chehan Fernando and Joshua Jayaratne (Under 16 boys’ doubles), Sharmal Dissanyake and Dhanushka Abeywardena (Under 18 boys’ doubles).
