Raveen Yasas scored 60 runs and captured four wickets to help Devapathiraja College Rathgama advance to the quarterfinal round of the Under-15 Division II Inter-Schools Tournament by defeating St. Aloysius’ College Ratnapura by one run.

St. Servatius crush President’s Maharagama
St. Servatius College Matara crushed President’s College Maharagama by 209 runs in their Under-15 Division I second round cricket match played at the Jayasuriya grounds in Matara.

After being asked to bat first, St. Servatius lost five wickets for 77 runs in the 15th over until Janith de Silva and Thilan Kumara came to the rescue. Janith made a brilliant 67 off 107 balls with six boundaries and Thilan hit 57 off 68 balls with eight boundaries while putting on 129 runs for the sixth wicket. The home team scored 286 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their fifty overs. Sasindu Virandha captured three wickets while Gimhan Dilanka and Nipun Devinda captured two wickets each.

Sandeep Chamara and Chamil Dhananjaya together with Gihan Dilruk and Ashen Kuruppu restricted the visitors to a paltry 77 runs in 34.1 overs. Vishwa Binoth, the only batsman to reach double figures, scored 22 runs off 46 balls with four boundaries.
