The Bsc (Hons) Information System with Business Management (ISBM) prepares students to make critical high-level decisions and provide know-how to back it up with the best information gathering and deployment methods. It develops abilities to analyze problems logically and apply appropriate decision-making skills and knowledge to reach feasible, realistic conclusions. The course covers key subject matter that consist of Information Systems and Business Management. Programming the Technology, Business Mathematics, Requirement Analysis, Information and Data Modeling, Principles of Marketing , Business Information Systems Design and Development, Project Management, Operations Management and Financial and Human Resource Management, Professional Practice, Managing Business Oragnisations, Information Systems Strategy as well as Business Strategy. The third year which is the placement year is a unique benefit that sees students in industry related organizations experiencing practical manifestations of what they have been learning. This wealth of information benefits during the final year of study as students can channel this practical experience into their final year projects. The ISBM course also gives much needed in-depth knowledge on the key disciplines in business analysis, marketing, human resources, finance, operations management, and communications; all of which are very valuable to understand today’s business.
IIT also offers Foundation Certificate in Higher Education programme which is designed for those students after O/Levels or students who don’t have adequate A/L results to join the degrees. The Foundation is accepted to join both degrees Bsc (Hons) Information System with Business Management and BEng (Hons) Software Engineering by the University of Westminster UK.
