Sri Lankan students excel in Chemistry at International level

Students of Hejaaz International School gained top scores at the Australian Chemistry Quiz 2012 organized by the Royal Australian Chemistry Institute.

Fayaz Ahamed Abdul Cader of Hejaaz International School has excelled emerging as one of the fifteen top scorers in Sri Lanka this year. In recognition of this achievement he will be awarded a plaque by the Royal Australian Chemistry Institute.

Shahid Nakshab, Cassim Joonoos, Aneesha Nizam, Hajara Naleer and Munawwara Saleem obtained High Distinctions. High Distinctions are awarded to the very top rankers in the country and only to a selected 10%. Students of Hejaaz International School achieved this very distinctive category out of a total number of 4905 candidates who participated from Sri Lanka.

The Australian National Chemistry Quiz is held in 24 countries around the world including Germany, China, New Zealand and India.

Ijaz Jazeer, Rijla Adam Lebbe, Zihla Aouse, Farah Imtiaz also received distinctions, and Abdullah Falih, Ishra Iflal, Azra Mansoor, Anas Mowlana, Ifaaz Ali Mowlana, Insaf Nasleem, Safra Rilwan received credits.
