Mustafa College of Humanities Studies (MCHS) in Sri Lanka is a newly established branch of Mustafa International University, Iran. MCHS incorporated in Sri Lanka, is looking forward to provide a primary platform for Sri Lankan youth and intellectuals to experience and learn the progressive approach of the human sciences, in a modern atmosphere surrounded by moral values and evolutionary insight. Like other international universities and academic colleges actively working to meet the spiritual needs of modern humanity, Mustafa College is proud that it has made every effort to elaborate monotheistic doctrines of Islam, shedding light on the congruity between Islamic Science and the humanities. As such, it encourages all to take the necessary steps towards increasing mutual understanding and sympathy, which lead to cultural and spiritual development, while in the process reaching out for the search of truth, virtue and knowledge.

MCHS is currently geared up to introduce programmes such as modern humanities studies reflection in diploma, higher advanced diploma, BA and MA as continuing educational programmes. Other programmes of learning include teacher training programmes, workshops, human resource management, journalism, family studies, philosophical and theological studies, empowering courses for women, counselling, language etc are the additional learning areas offered by MCHS.

MCHS also provides students with a complete university atmosphere, which is essential to students completing their education in an environment that supports an education beyond that which is book-based.

“Students who perform exceedingly well in the first semester of the degree programme will be supported through a discounted fee structure for the following semester. This is to encourage and reward students who are good learners” said Seyed Hamid Reza Haghighi, the Chairman of Mustafa College of Humanities and Sri Lanka representative of Al Mustafa International University. He added “Students who complete the degree successfully will also be given the privilege of pursuing their Master’s education in Iran on a scholarship basis, this is provided they maintain a consistently high performance in their academics”.
