Entry Requirement:
Direct Entry for those who have A/L passes in any stream, University entrance qualified students
Other Entry for those who has minimum two passes in A/L or equivalent or O/L with 2 years of working experience or O/L with a recognized Diploma.
Diploma in IT
After O/L the student could complete the Diploma in IT within four months duration . This Diploma leads to International Qualification such as HND and Microsoft Certification such as MCSA MCSE. In this Diploma Student would learn the basic IT which enables the students to select the Network of Software Development path.
Program structure
The HND is an 18 months academic programme that can be completed either on weekdays or weekends, thereby giving the students a valuable qualification that is equivalent to the first two years of a three year British B.Sc (Hon) Degree. Students can then follow one more year of studies to top their qualification with a B.Sc (Hons) Degree from UK Universities such as Middlesex and Cardiff Metropolitan University delivered in Sri Lanka . Those who wish to obtain their degree overseas they could choose universities such as University of Glamorgan, University of Gloucestershire, University of Huddersfield, University of Northampton, Oxford Brookes University, University of Plymouth, University of Salford and some more. Assessment
The focus of HND is on practical knowledge; all units are evaluated through continuous assessments, industrial projects built into the programme and tests for authentication of knowledge gained.
Assessments are evaluated by NetAssist (approved centres of Edexcel ) within the framework provided by Edexcel . It is done not only to evaluate the academic skills of the candidates but also incorporate the necessary arrangements to evaluate the ability and achievement of the technical skills areas of the students.
Edexcel has a strong quality assurance system which includes Quality Audit, External Verification and regular visits to the centers by UK and regional staff. Our assessments are audited by external verifiers from UK and Edexcel quality control team continuously to maintain standards.
Award (diploma)
At the end of successful completion of all units student will be awarded with BTEC Higher National Diploma in Computing and Systems Development from Edexcel UK .
