Nandimithra down depleted CFC
View(s):Nandimithra SC defeated a depleted Colombo Football Club by two goals to nil, in a Premier League Division One ‘B’ soccer match, at the City League grounds recently.
At the short whistle, Nandimithra held a 1-0 lead. Colombo Football Club were severely limited by the absence of their brilliant Nigerian midfield Stanley Uchena, and the creativity of playmaker A.R.A. Shazny, who was marked by the opposition throughout the game.
In the 38th minute, S. Sathishwaran put Nandimithra one up when he booted a rebound into the CFC net.
After the change of ends, .Sathishwaran made a pass to forward P.N. Priyankara, who slotted the ball past the goal line to give Nandimithra a convincing 2-0 win.The game was controlled by A.A. Tharanga. (BM).
