A little publicised but very exhilarating event took place in the church hall of St. Paul’s, Milagiriya on the 19th evening when the Senior Choir of Uduvil Girls’ College, Jaffna, gave voice to some beautiful Christmas carols old and new, interspersed by excellent narration, under the title of a popular modern song, “Mary Did You Know?”
The trainer and conductor was Uduvil’s versatile Principal, Shiranee Mills. Around 60 girls and teachers had travelled all the way from Jaffna and they sang to a hall packed to overflowing with a very receptive and appreciative audience.
