Speaking to the Sunday Times Secretary of the Western Province Rugby Football Union (WPRFU) Dilroy Fernando said that it is very encouraging to note there are 16 teams locking horns in the Bowl and Shield Segment while in the Top segment 8 teams are taking part. He further said that the tournament organizers are very happy to see the progress of the Forces who were fielding several sides and they have developed and narrowed the gap with some top clubs. Fernando ended by saying: “We are very sad to see some top clubs such as CR & FC and CH & FC not fielding teams. CR & FC pulled out at the last moment and deprived another team from taking part in this contest.”
