SLIIT’s Badminton and Tennis teams toured Malaysia to participate at the 7th University of Teknologi Mara (UoTM) International Sports Fiesta. The event, which concluded recently at the UoTM courts and grounds witnessed the participation of nearly 20 universities from six countries – namely Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Brunei, Singapore and Thailand. In the badminton women’s singles, Gayani Perera of SLIIT emerged 2nd runner-up and Omesh Fernando played well to reach the quarterfinal for the men’s individual singles event. – NA
