Alliance Française de Colombo, one of the regular hotspot for French movies will bring French cinematic creations with various genres of cinema during the month of October. The weekly shows will bring two screenings on Tuesday at 3 pm and Wednesday at 6.30 pm at the Alliance Francaise auditorium.

Screening on Tuesday and Wednesday, month’s film show will start with ‘Au revoir les enfants’ (Goodbye, Children), a movie around a French boarding school run by priests which seems to be a haven from World War II until a new student arrives. He becomes the room-mate of a top student in his class. Rivals at first, the room-mates form a bond and share a secret.
A war drama directed by Louis Malle, the film will be screened at 3 pm on Tuesday, October 2 and at 6.30 pm on October 3.
‘Banlieue 13’ (District 13) a 2004 film directed by Pierre Morel set in Paris 2013.

Damien is the elite of the police. Officer of a special intervention unit, expert in martial arts, he is a past master in the art of infiltration, and knows to complete operations by fast action and in precise muscled manner. ‘A la folie …Pas du tout’ (He Loves Me… He Loves Me Not) , a romantic thriller directed by Laetitia Colombani is woven around Angélique, a carefree girl who shares her time between her studies at the Fine Arts and the work she does as a waitress in a bar. One day, she falls in love with Loïc, cardiologist whose wife is expecting a child, attempts an impossible task to separate the couple. The film will be screened at 6.30 pm on October 23 and 24.

Anne Deptrini’s film ‘Le reste du Jambo?’ will be screened at 3.30 pm on October 30 and at 6.30 pm on October 31. When Justine Lacroix, a charming television reporter stationed at the “dogs crushed” meets a handsome emergency room surgeon is immediately hooked … and the beginning of a great love story., The pretty blonde from Paris and the big brown from Nanterre quickly become inseparable but there’s just a small detail that Justine has forgotten to take into account: the man she loves …is an Arab, now “French” of immigrant origin.
