It is not unusual for Australia’s highest selling women’s magazine to feature a full page on what is the ‘feel good chart success story of 2012’ as mentioned in the very popular WOMAN’S DAY magazine this week.

The music industry warmly welcomed the return of Alston Koch, who helped break the barriers of music in 1976 with his first major success ‘Disco Lady’ and returning again almost four generations later with a No 2 album in the ARIA Charts for 6 weeks and with serious accolades from all areas of the broadcasting networks, print media and international music video networks.

The recipient of the first original ‘Gold’ record for the genre of disco music and the A.D.D.A award in 1977 for the best original song (there were no ARIA Awards at the time) has over the past weeks been bestowed with ‘The.Funkmaster’  by A.R.I.A (Aria chartfacts June 2012), ‘Tha Grand Pa of Techno (News Ltd), ‘The King of Disco (Fairfax/Leader group of Newspapers) and
‘The Prophet of Dance (Austereo Radio Network & The Australian ‘Top 20’ Countdown).

The WOMAN’S DAY Magazine goes out this week providing readers for the first time with a special app to view the latest music video of this  ‘feel good success story of 2012 ‘ as they intently watched the success of this legendary Sri Lankan born singer-songwriter, barnstorm his way onto the dance floors and the airways with his album ‘DON’T FUNK WITH ME’
The music video can also be seen on Ninemsn throughout the World.
