Ruhuna bowled out

Lanka Bell Wayamba came out victorious by 3-2 in a bowl out against Hirdaramani Ruhuna in the second semi final of Inter-Provincial T20 cricket tournament yesterday to enter the final scheduled to be played at 9.45 a.m. today at the SSC ground.

This was after heavy rain ruined the proceedings after the completion of the 15th over of Hirdaramani Ruhuna who at that stage was 88 for 7 having taken first lease of the wicket after skipper Sanath Jayasuriya won the toss.

The match was evenly placed at that stage though the Lanka Bell Wayamba bowlers had things under their control. It could have gone the either way with Hirdaramani Ruhuna possessing bowlers of repute who are capable of turning the game in their favour.

The bowl out saw Kaushal Lokuarachchi giving Lanka Bell Wayamba the start they needed but Hirdaramani Ruhuna’s Sajeewa Weerakoon got it accurate to make it one each.

Isusu Udana of Wayamba and Ruhuna Sanath Jayasuriya’s aim went astray. Ajantha Mendis and Anil Ridigammanagedera got it right to make two each. Of the two bowlers left from each side only Farveez Maharoof was able to succeed while Tharanga Lakshitha (Ruhuna), Mahela Jayawardena (Wayamba) and Dilhara Lokuhettige were unsuccessful.MSA
