Inter-Provincial T20 Final B’hira South and Wayamba in final showdown

By M. Shamil Amit
The curtains of the Inter-Provincial T20 cricket tournament conducted by Sri Lanka Cricket and sponsored by Sri Lanka Telecom will come down today with the final clash for supremacy between Lexmark Basnahira South and Lanka Bell Wayamba at the SSC ground from 10.00 a.m. onwards.

The high riding Lexmark Basnahira South team led by T.M. Dilshan are favourites to pull the game against their opponents led by Jehan Mubarak. They showed their prowess in the semi final encounter played against MAS Holdings Kandurata yesterday by coming back to defend a low score of 137 having given the edge to their opponents. They go into the game with the confidence of defeating Lanka Bell Wayamba by 50 runs in the round robin played earlier.

But Lexmark Basnahira South cannot take things lightly as Lanka Bell Wayamba came back in the latter part of the tournament to end up second in the overall standings.

They chalked up four straight wins after their defeat to Lexmark Basnahira South. So they are a side to be reckoned with and are capable of upsetting the apple cart.

The presentation ceremony will be held after the conclusion of the match with Mrs. Leesha Chandrasena de Silva the Chairperson of SLT gracing the occasion as the chief guest.
