The HPI recognises that technical knowledge—the “Knowledge Capital”—is only one part of the equation for success. To truly thrive in a modern economy, an individual must also possess “Social Capital,” defined as the networks, trust, and shared values that allow them to collaborate and lead effectively.
The HPI is built on a framework that integrates data from the World Bank’s Human Capital Index (HCI) with localised metrics of social engagement.
