Free medical camp for Sri Lankans in Bahrain
View(s):Sri Lanka’s embassy in Bahrain, in collaboration with the Sri Lankan Engineering Society in Bahrain (SLES) and the American Mission Hospital, conducted a free medical camp for Sri Lankan nationals on Friday at the Embassy premises.
This initiative, launched at the request of the Ambassador Shanika Dissanayake, is part of the Embassy’s ongoing commitment to promoting the health and well-being of the Sri Lankan community in Bahrain by providing accessible and preventive healthcare services.
More than 100 Sri Lankans benefited from the medical camp, receiving a wide range of essential multi-diagnostic screenings, including height and weight measurements, BMI evaluations, blood pressure checks, and blood sugar tests. Participants also received free consultations in Internal Medicine, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, and Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) care, provided by medical professionals from the King Hamad American Mission Hospital.
Addressing the gathering, Ambassador Ms. Dissanayake expressed her appreciation to the Sri Lankan Engineering Society in Bahrain and the American Mission Hospital for their invaluable partnership and continued support in serving the Sri Lankan community.
