The Gonsalvez College Past Pupils’ Association (GCPP) is proud to announce the launch of the GCPP Vehicle Parade 2025, an innovative initiative organised to support the school’s development projects.

The primary purpose of the event is to create a sustainable platform where year-wise past pupil batches contribute towards vital school development work. This unique concept, introduced by the GCPP Association, ensures that every batch has the chance to play an active role in uplifting their alma mater.

While the government mainly provides resources for academic needs, extra-curricular activities and infrastructure development often rely on parents and well-wishers. In rural schools such as Gonsalvez College, Pamunugama, parents face financial difficulties that make it challenging to support these activities. Yet, extra-curricular development—sports, cultural events, leadership training—is equally important in shaping a well-rounded student community.

Recognising this, the GCPP Association has stepped forward with the Vehicle Parade, designed not only to showcase the unity of past pupils but also to serve as a platform for announcing and funding projects each year. Every participating batch will take responsibility for implementing specific development initiatives, ensuring a continuous and structured approach to school progress.

This year’s event will be held on 25th October 2025, featuring a full day of celebrations:

  •    Vehicle Parade: Starting from Dungalpitiya Grounds at 3.30 p.m.
  •   Street Food & Family Feasta: Beginning at 5.30 p.m. at the Gonsalvez College Grounds
  •   After Party: From 9.00 p.m., with live entertainment performed by the popular “Murunga” Band

Situated in Pamunugama, within the Gampaha District, Gonsalvez College is home to nearly 1,000 students. Through this initiative, the GCPP Association aims to strengthen both academic and
extra-curricular foundations, creating new opportunities for future generations.

The GCPP Vehicle Parade 2025 is more than a gathering—it is a movement of unity, vision, and commitment, where past pupils join hands to build a brighter tomorrow for Gonsalvez College.
