Pera Uni and IITR discuss cooperation
View(s):The University of Peradeniya and the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IITR) have discussed cooperation between the two institutions. A delegation from IITR recently held discussions with the university authorities.
Both institutions highlighted the potential for cooperation in engineering. Discussions focused on launching student and staff exchange programmes, initiating collaboration through an exchange agreement, and exploring the possibility of joint PhD and Master’s programmes.
They discussed opportunities for academic and research collaboration.
The meeting was chaired by acting vice chancellor of the university Prof Ranjith Pallegama, with acting director, International Relations Office Dr Panduka Neluwala, and Project Manager, International Relations Office Thushanika Pakkiyarasa.
The IITR delegation was led by Director Prof Kamal Kishore Pant, accompanied by Dean of International Relations Prof Vimal Chandra Srivastava, and Head of the Center for Space Science & Technology Prof Sanjaykumar Harihar Upadhyay.
