Ananda, Musaeus, Bishop’s earn top honours at Ritzbury Tennis
View(s):Ananda College, Musaeus College and Bishop’s College earned top honours at the Ritzbury All-Island Inter-Schools Tennis Championship 2025 held at the Queen’s Tennis Courts in Colombo.
Ananda College claimed the Boys’ Best Tennis Playing Team award after emerging Division I Boys’ Overall champions, while Musaues College won the Division I Girls’ Overall title. However, it was Bishop’s College that claimed the Girls’ Best Tennis Playing Team award.

St. Peter’s College won the Division I Boys’ Under-19 Championship after beating Royal College 3-0 in the final, after beating Ananda College (3-1) in the semi-final. Ananda College warranted for their title of Boys’ Best Tennis Playing Team after claiming the Boys’ Division I Under-17 and Under-15 titles, in addition to claiming the Under-19 title. S. Thomas’ College won the Boys’ Division I Under-13 championship.
Newstead College, Negombo won the Girls’ Division I Under-19 title, while their neighbours, Ave Maria Convent, pocketed the Girls’ Division I Under-17 championship. The Newstead girls handed a chocking 3-0 defeat to Visakha Vidyalaya in the final. Visakha Vidyalaua became champions of the Girls’ Division I Under-15 division, while Musaeus College emerged winners of the Girls’ Division I Under-13.
Among Division II schools, Methodist College claimed the Girls’ Overall Championship while St. Sebastian’s College, Moratuwa became the Boys’ Overall champions.
