Islandwide top scorers in A/L subjects
View(s):The Examinations Department has released the names of students who achieved the best results in the island at the 2024 GCE Advanced Level examination from each stream with students from outstation schools outdoing most of the Colombo national schools.
The island’s first in Mathematics was achieved by Lesandu Ransara Kumarage of Bandaranayake College, Gampaha. In Biological Science, Sandithi Nimhari Hegodaarachchi of Maliyadeva Girls’ College, Kurunegala secured the top ranked position.
In Commerce, Amasha Dulari Perera of Visakha Vidyalaya, Colombo obtained the best results in the island. Senali Chamathka Ranasinghe of Rathnavali Balika Vidyalaya, Gampaha secured the best results in Arts.
In Engineering Technology, Kawya Ravihansa of Mayurapada Central College, Narammala obtained the best results.
In Bio-system Technology, Nethmi Navodya Marasinghe from Sandalanka Central College in Kurunegala was named the top ranked student.
