Registration of students for university admission commences
View(s):The registration of 43,927 students eligible to enter universities has commenced, according to the University Grants Commission.
They were among the 91,249 students eligible to apply for State university admission.
There were also 574 students whose GCE (O/L) results were differed after submitting for re-correction.
The UGC provided the breakdown of students who have gained entry into various streams. Among the main streams are Biological Sciences (9,795), Physical Sciences (8,060), Commerce (7,731), Arts (11,540), Engineering Technology (2,252), Biotechnology (1,546) and others (683).
