Colombo Uni launches Faculty of Indigenous Medicine
View(s):The University of Colombo recently announced the establishment of its newest Faculty, the Faculty of Indigenous Medicine. This is the 10th Faculty of the university.
The Faculty of Indigenous Medicine will consist of six new departments, each focusing on different aspects of traditional medicine: The Department of Ayurveda and Indigenous Medicine, Department of Unani Clinical Medicine, Department of Unani Pharmacology, Department of Ayurveda Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology and Gynecology, Obstetrics and Pediatrics, Department of Ayurveda Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics and Community Medicine and the Department of Basic Principles, Ayurveda Anatomy and Physiology.
