Thomas house, buoyed by a string of sterling performances, ran away winners of St. Nicholas’ International College Negombo’s ninth annual sports meet, staving off stiff competition from Oswald house (second) and Nicholas house (third) on February 2.

From the very start, Thomas house dominated the junior sports meet, scoring over 500 points, thereby establishing a great foundation for the senior section to fight upon. And fight they did. Thomas house, led by House Master Indika Eranda, House Captains Amila Sunethkumara and Stefania Perera and aided by Vice Captain Shehan Livera, stood their ground, encouraging their fellow house members to never give up. Eventually this support along with an endless supply of gifted athletes, propelled Thomas house towards its first sports meet title in nine years.
