Sumana Balika win a double

Bartleet Under 12 Tennis

Sumana Balika Vidyalaya created a major upset at the inaugural under 12 All Island Bartleet Finance sponsored tennis tournament which commenced a the SLTA courts on Friday. In the opening match of the tournament they beat the more fancied Bishops College 3-0 and then went onto inflict a 2-1 defeat on St. Bridget’s Convent.

In the boys segment, Ananda College also claimed a double when they beat Karandeniya Central ‘A’ 3-0 and followed it with a 2-1 win over St. Peter’s College, Negombo. Ladies College also won a double when they downed Bishops College 3-0 and Visakha Vidyalaya ‘A’ 3-1.
