St. Peter’s turn tables on Royal

St. Peter’s College turned tables on Royal College by 62 points to 51 to clinch the Colombo South Under 17 Basketball title which was played at Reid Avenue recently. At half time, Royal College was well ahead of their opponents with 31 points to 18. For St. Peter’s College Nichula Liyanage 26 points, Yohan Prabasara and Vishwa Aloysius 10 each, were the main contributors. The chief scorers for Royal College were Julian Gunasinghe 17 and C. Siraj 14.

Vishwa Aloysious and Nichula Liyanage of St. Peter’s, were adjudged the best defensive and best player of the tournament respectively, while Julian Gunasinghe won the award for the best offensive player.

Lyceum, Nugegoda clinch losers final in extra time
Lyceum International, Nugegoda clinched the losers final when they defeated Asian International by 69 points to 62 in extra time of the Colombo South boys under 17 cager tournament at Reid Avenue.
At half time Asian International were in front with 32 points to 31 and at full time the tally was 59 each.
