By Sanath Weerasuriya

Damian Wickramatilleke, one of the members from the original line up of Purple Rain has cut short a stint in the UK to fly back and join his fellow band members when they take to the stage on the 18th of March at the Grand Ballroom of the Hilton Colombo.

He says he is quite looking forward to the reunion, and recreating the old days once again. Listening to the boys rehearsing this week at the Gypsies studio in Ratmalana it is quite difficult to believe that the band was ever apart. Slipping into the numbers that brought them instant fame with effortless ease.
The box plan that opened on Thursday at the events desk of the Hilton Colombo saw the VIP seat snapped up on the same day itself.
