Another draw at Reid Avenue

The Under 19 inter-school match between Royal and Dharmarajah at Reid Avenue ended in another tame draw. The match was highlighted by an unbeaten ton by Heshan Kumarasiri and a five wicket haul by Devin Pathmanathan.

Dharmarajah continuing from their overnight score of 45 for 2 went on to make 194 with Sandun Weerakkody making a top score of 57 and Pathmanathan ending with impressive figures of 5 for 45.
Royal batting the second time going in for quick runs spearheaded by Imal Liyanage who made an unbeaten 78 made a score of 143 for 4 declared. This left Dharmarajah a target of 182 and they ended the day on 53 for 3.

Royal 222 for 9 declared (Imal Liyanage 23, Supun Subasinghe 22, Heshan Kumarasiri 105 n.o; Aravinda Withanaarachchi 3 for 62, Lahiru Herath 2 for 43) and 143 for 4 declared (Imal Liyanage 78 n.o., Heshan Kumarasiri 27 n.o.: Lahiru Herath 2 for 66)

Dharmarajah (45/2 overnight) 194 (Sandun Weerakkody 57, Dinesh Lanka 25, Asanka Nakawita 23; Devin Pathmanathan 5 for 45, Supun Subasinghe 2 for 45) and 53 for 3 (Imran Khan 2 for 13)
